Legacy media likes to paint the 2024 presidential campaign as one between a selfish candidate only looking out for wealthy friends and a candidate who cares deeply about the American people.

Reality was, unfortunately, laid bare by the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

While millions of Americans were dealing with the aftermath of the deadly storm, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris was in Los Angeles partying with a bunch of rich Hollywood celebrities.

Republican candidate Donald Trump, on the other hand, headed to Georgia to help distribute hurricane relief aid.

During a Harris-Walz fundraiser at the posh JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Harris proclaimed: “Oh, it’s good to be home!”

Home to Harris is in the presence of such celebs as Demi Lovato, Stevie Wonder, Jessica Alba, Lily Tomlin, and Sterling K. Brown, according to multiple reports. Former Disney chief and Democrat fundraiser Jeffrey Katzenberg was there as were Universal boss Donna Langley and Hollywood PR maven Kelly Bush Novak.

The glitzy affair, and Harris is quite familiar with glitzy affairs, reportedly raised more than $28 million for the Harris-Walz campaign.

The Hollywood Reporter noted: "The tickets to the event ranged from $500 to $250,000, with a number of Hollywood agents and publicists spotted in the crowd. After shaking hands and taking photos with some members of the crowd following her speech, Harris was off to her next stop, hitting a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday night."

Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday morning:

"We are now heading to Valdosta, Georgia, in order to pay my respects and bring lots of relief material, including fuel, equipment, water, and other things, to the State. Many politicians and Law Enforcement will be there. We’ll be saying hello to Franklin Graham, Burt Jones, Tyler Harper, Mike Collins, Austin Scott, Russ Goodman, Sam Watson, and the Mayor of Valdosta Scott James.

"They are working very hard. I was also going to stop into North Carolina, which has really been hit hard. I have a lot of supplies ready for them, but access and communication is now restricted, and we want to make sure that Local Emergency Management is able to focus on helping the people most affected, and not being concerned with me. I’ll be there shortly, but don’t like the reports that I’m getting about the Federal Government, and the Democrat Governor of the State, going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas. MAGA!"
